SCA Yachting announces Boa Kingdom

Bodrum-based company SCA Yachting is set to embark on the construction of a 40-metre motor sailing yacht named Boa Kingdom, with an expected delivery in early 2025. This venture marks SCA Yachting's entry into boat building, transitioning from its previous focus on yacht charter and refit services. Boa Kingdom, a fully custom yacht with a 345GT capacity, is the result of a collaborative effort between SCA Yachting's in-house team and the owner, an anonymous Turkish businessman. The yacht's naval architecture, designed by Fuat Turan, emphasises the environmental and fatigue-resistant advantages of laminated wood, and SCA Yachting has partnered with Çavuşoğlu Shipyard to bring this project to fruition.

Founder Cenk Avdan emphasised the environmental benefits of wood, stating, “Wood is the most environmentally friendly option and does not harm the health of people on board. At SCA Yachting, we will continue to support wood as our material of choice.”

Boa Kingdom will accommodate up to 12 guests and feature 345 square metres of outdoor living space, including a 16-square-metre swimming platform, an 84-square-metre flybridge, and a luxurious Jacuzzi on the bow. Powered by twin 550 horsepower Volvo engines, the yacht is expected to reach a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 15 knots. The project represents a fusion of craftsmanship, environmental consciousness, and luxury design in the world of yacht construction.
