HAN 1771 Cafe & Lounge

Although we are fierce espresso aficionados, we thought we would start our list with a quintessential Turkish experience. Tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of the Bodrum Bazaar is a true Ottoman gem. Han 1771 is a coffee and marketplace set in a refurbished Han, what used to be a historic inn for travellers. Intricately refurbished, this hidden gem is the perfect place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the marketplace and enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee, or kahve. The lounge's decor is a tribute to the history of the building, with traditional furnishings and intricate tilework adding to its authentic atmosphere. Whether you're searching for a moment of tranquillity or simply wanting to try something new, this tucked-away gem is a must-visit spot in Bodrum.

Gibi Bodrum

Gibi (Turkish for like) is a cafe and design store that is impossible not to like, or indeed fall in love with. Started by six fashionable friends, it offers a perfect blend of delicious coffee and unique, handcrafted items for a one-of-a-kind shopping and dining experience. Their impossibly stylish courtyard surrounded by whitewashed walls and aromatic lavender plants offers a perfect spot to rest or indulge in one of their homemade sweet treats. Sitting outside of this traditional Bodrum house, savouring every sip of a perfect iced latte, is sure to be an unforgettably idyllic experience. Remember to pop into their store to check out their curated, locally made goods (word of warning, any attempts to walk out empty-handed will be futile!).

Hey Joe Bodrum Bitez

Turns out Bitez village is home to a lot of La Marzocco machines! Fika Coffeeshop Bitez showcases a shiny silver version, which perfectly mirrors the chic interior of this local coffee spot. Named after the Swedish coffee culture called Fika (making time for friends and colleagues to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat), this café offers a great array of freshly baked goods and comfortable spots to cozy up for a catch up with a friend or two.

Karabatak Coffee Aspat Anthaven

This quaint little cafe is certainly off the beaten track but if you’re looking for an excellent cup of coffee and a scenic view, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more picturesque spot than Karabatak Coffee in Anthaven. Located in one of the sites adorable lighthouses, Karabatak Coffee offers an unrivalled coffee experience, linking it’s experience from their Istanbul coffeehouse with their unique location at the recently opened Anthaven in Aspat bay. Here, customers can enjoy their brews while soaking in the majestic views of the hidden Aspat bay. Make sure to check out all the other perks Anthaven has to offer, such as their gorgeous boutiques and windsurfing opportunities.
