After being named the "Super Yacht Marina of Year 2022" by The British Yacht Harbor Association (TYHA), Yalıkavak Marina has secured another accolade with the 2023 Clean Marina Certificate. This distinction recognizes Yalıkavak Marina's dedication to sustainability and environmental protection in its operations and services.
Marina Director Deniz Akaltan expressed his delight in obtaining the award, reiterating their commitment to nature conservation and adherence to international standards. TYHA's Clean Marina Program aims to foster environmentally-friendly practices among marinas worldwide.
Revolutionary Yachting Network: The World League of Agents
A ground-breaking collective, The World League of Agents, has emerged in the yachting industry, bringing together independent local agents with over a decade of experience from across the globe. This non-profit network provides localised services and facilitates unique yachting experiences, devoid of corporate influence and financial motives.
Focused on paying it forward, the network offers an array of services, including fuel arrangements and bespoke itinerary planning, striving to enhance the superyacht experiences. Already fostering alliances with eleven prominent companies, this network sets a new standard in the industry.
Record-Breaking Sale: Lürssen Superyacht Ahpo
In a landmark deal believed to be the biggest brokerage transaction ever, the 115.1-metre Lürssen superyacht Ahpo, renamed as Lady Jorgia, has been sold in-house by Moran Yacht & Ship. Originally built in steel and aluminium under Project Enzo, it was delivered in 2021, showcasing at the Monaco Yacht Show the same year.
With an impressive design by Nuvolari Lenard and remarkable features like a nature-themed spa, duplex gym and a grand dining room, the luxury yacht was listed for €330,000,000.
Nakheel Boosts Dubai's Yachting Prestige with New Superyacht-Friendly Marina
UAE property developer, Nakheel, unveils its new Nakheel Marinas Dubai Islands, capable of housing 13 superyachts and providing 248 wet berths for yachts up to 47-metres. This comes amidst major investment in Dubai's yachting facilities, attracting global companies like Camper & Nicholsons International and Burgess. These developments secure Dubai's status in the international yachting industry.
Kenshō Crowned Motor Yacht of the Year
The Italian Sea Group's 75-meter mega-yacht, Admiral Kenshō, has been named "Motor Yacht of the Year" at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards by Boat International. Additionally, it won in the “Displacement Motor Yachts 1’500GT and Above” category. This double accolade recognizes the yacht's exceptional design and advanced sustainability measures, such as its innovative diesel-electric propulsion system.
