How to Apply for Türkiye’s New Digital Nomad Visa

Who Can Apply for a Turkish Digital Nomad Visa?

Applicants aged between 21 and 55 from most EU countries, the UK, USA, or Canada are eligible to apply.

The full list of countries is: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA.

Duration of the Visa

The visa allows remote workers to stay in Türkiye for six months to a year, with the possibility of renewal once or twice.

Minimum Income & Education Requirements

To qualify, you must have a monthly income of $3,000 (€2,800) or an annual income of $36,000 (€33,800), along with proof of employment or a business contract. Applicants also need a university degree and a remote work setup. Whether you're a freelancer, entrepreneur, or employed by a company outside Türkiye, as long as you're working remotely, you can apply.

Application Process

Applications are made online and the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry offers a streamlined application process through a user-friendly website. After checking the criteria and filling out the application form, successful applicants will receive a Digital Nomad Identification Certificate which they will need to present at the nearest Turkish consulate or visa centre. If you are already in Türkiye, you can apply for a residence permit online at e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr ​​after receiving the Digital Nomad Identification Certificate from the system.
